The mosaic pictured is an Arts and Crafts dairy with an unusually ornate mosaic floor.  It had a great deal of degradation where there had been heavy foot traffic in the past. We initially traced the missing area and made the elements in the workshop.  The failed areas of mosaic were carefully removed by hand and the cement base removed to a depth to allow for the new pieces of mosaic to be installed.  The new mosaic was then feathered in to the original.  Once dry and grouted the whole mosaic was polished, cleaned and sealed.
