The mosaic was a copy of an adjacent period entrance in the same street. It was a very interesting project due to the unique lift that was to be incorporated into the entrance steps and mosaic.  The inner section of the entrance drops down to pavement level to allow wheelchair access. Carrara grade (C) and Verde Alpi and Belgian black were sourced for the mosaic and hand cut as per the original. We undertook the step installation also to be sure that all the differing elements of the project worked together and to allow for the very technical lift to operate properly.
